Frequently Asked Question

How do I apply for a position at Family Visions Inc?

You can apply by looking for Careers and following the links or by dropping off your resume at 116A Industrial Drive.

Family Visions is not an optical centre. We provide services to adults with intellectual disabilities.

Please call us and inquire about placement, however, all placements occur by referral from Community Living Disability Services. We would happily help you to navigate this.

All services are fully funded by the Provincial government.

We offer residential care services with programming that includes, but is not exclusive to, participation in a wide variety of community events; transportation; Christmas party; birthday parties; musical activities; friendship opportunities; camp, both summer and winter; and many more tailored to individual needs.

Money that is donated to Family Visions Inc. is used for a wide variety of things not covered by Provincial funding. Examples include the annual Christmas party, including a gift for everyone from Santa. Last year we were able to purchase a handi van for our individuals who are confined to wheelchairs. This was a very exciting purchase that has benefitted our individuals immensely!

Murray Blight From Family Visions

Murray Blight
Board Member

In 1999, I was asked to form an agency to facilitate adults who are mentally and physically challenged. In 2000, the voluntary committee formed Family Visions Inc. The agency initially provided respite to families, eventually providing twenty-four-hour client care.

During the past twenty years, I have been the Chairperson and the interim Executive Director on a few occasions with Family Visions. Today, I am a board member who enjoys fundraising for our ‘Special Friends’. Over the past thirty-five years, I have called upon businesses, organizations, community members, and friends to support our annual Monte Carlo Campaign.
